BE STRONG, BE PEACEFUL, BE CLOSE TO HEAVEN, BE A MOUNTAIN…
Greeting everyone, it is my hope that this post finds you healthy, prosperous, and wise. I know it has been awhile since my last post but I must ask, is it just me or does it seem the list of humans that have embraced indecency, and hate continues to grow. Or perhaps such individuals are simply being emboldened and inspired by forces that are out of our control. Nevertheless, to move forward with todays post, it was on my heart to share these thoughts with you. Relationships can be complicated, especially close ones. Many conflicts occur over true or false narratives that become critiques of one’s character. If there is an agreement there is no conflict. If there is a disagreement about the narrative/critique many times it is due to the embracing of extremes. What I mean by extremes is usually people are not “always” impatient, angry, sad, rude on purpose, trying to start a fight, seeking to be a victim etc. Where conflict can really be ignited is when narratives are either false or extreme and stated as fact. So, with this in mind I present you with an exercise for your peace of mind…
BE A MOUNTAIN
Mountains don’t talk, but the validity of their existence, and value are beyond debate.
A mountain never validates itself. Even if faced with opposition, such an idea seems naïve.
A mountain is strong.
A mountain is firm.
A mountain is rooted.
A mountain is long lasting.
A mountain is close to Heaven.
Moses met God on a mountain.
Mountains are home to animals, trees, waterfalls, coated majestically by snow, seemingly unaffected by rain, wind, lightning, and the rays of the sun. Though it will be difficult, copy these attributes, be a mountain,..
Talk less, when opposed, don’t validate, don’t be drawn into correcting false narratives, or accusations that are not true. Let the narratives flow whatever they are. Desire to correct a false narrative to those who are convinced without facts, is futile and will only bring stress. Mountains have nothing to prove. Resist resentment, copy these attributes and be a mountain. Jesus is the ultimate example of this…
