ONE OF THE MOST INSPIRING SONGS FOR ANY MARTIAL ARTIST. IN MY OPINION ANYWAY…

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well, I present to you today another song with a righteous message. This is a short song that was the theme of the 1980’s movie “The Last Dragon” a very entertaining and inspiring movie. Whenever I hear this song it still give me the same chills I had as a teenager in love with the martial arts. For me the song is simple and true. I will illustrate and summarize the lyrics below, to give you more insight into why this song resonates so much with me.

[Verse 1]
Now all the masters know
That you need the glow
You need the glow, the glow to grow

This verse gives me chills now because it is a truth that I have experienced as I have mastered my own martial arts system Shu Ha Ri Do. All of the knowledge that I consumed throughout the late 80’s  and through the 90’s produced bright light inside of me. This light began to glow on the outside for many to see and they started gathering one by one and two by two to learn from me. I was nothing I planned it just happened because of the tons of seminars and books I poured through, as I’ve mentioned before I even copied the dictionary during this time. The most powerful motivation I had during this time was my relationship with God. The knowledge about his purpose to heal and restore mankind filled my heart and soul and spurred me on to become who I am today. Little did I know I would become a version of what this song is about. For me the glow is the righteous knowledge from God that filled my heart and made his passion for  my passion. I train to master myself and I teach others to do the same.

[Verse 2]
If you love to live, you live to love
Hah, you got to move to the upper level
Cause when you got the glow
There ain’t no stopping
What you want to do
Hah oh

Indeed you have to move to the upper level, indeed when you have the glow there is no stopping you.

[Bridge]
To reach that upper level
Your mind, body and soul must be one
It’s a sacrifice
It takes hard work
It’s a way of life

Your mind body and soul must be one this is the essence and truth behind the meaning of the Shu Ha Ri Do Self Mastery symbol shown below. The fire represents the soul/spirit your feelings, passions, ambitions, motivations, what drives you. The water represents your body, and the light represents the light and knowledge of the mind. I did not plan this it simply unfolded in my hands. What happened to me was, due to my voracious consumption of righteous knowledge on mastering self, my sacrifice of embracing 6 years of celibacy before marriage and my dedication to training. I simply “gave birth” in other words to everything that is Shu Ha Ri Do, my books, and more. Books by Sifu

[Chorus]
When you got the glow
You feel the one (You feel the one)
When you got the glow
Your body’s gold (Your body’s gold)
So don’t let go
Of the power of elevation (Power)
(Talk about that glow)

“The Power of Elevation” there is so much meaning for me in that statement. Suffice it to say that the more you elevate the more powerful you become to have influence on people.  Your influence can elevate others. Is your influence righteous? This power and mindset in the wrong hands can have the opposite effect. I hope this post has inspired you and given you the insight you need to push forward in your pursuit of Self Mastery under Heaven, Godspeed
