MASTERING OTHERS IS STRENGTH. MASTERING YOURSELF IS TRUE POWER. 3 REASONS WHY THIS IS TRUE…
Greetings everyone, I present you with another wise quote from Lao Tse. This is a big part of what I have to share with students and readers of my work. Below I will list 3 reasons why this is true.
1.DON’T FORCE OR MANIPULATE ANYONE
When dealing with people, trying to get them to love, respect, or fear you by force or manipulation can work but will prove to be an egotistical and exhausting way to live. Egotistical because your motives are impure and self centered.
Exhausting because you will find yourself always reacting to someone else’s character flaws and trying to prove that you are worthy to be loved, respected, or feared. Moreover, if someone has to fear you in order not to violate or in order to accept you then they are not worthy of you in the first place. In addition, if you have to resort to manipulation to get love or respect, then you are practicing an unrighteous “action” and that is not anything to be honored or saluted anyway.
2.BE INSPIRED BY THE POWER OF CONTROLLING YOUR OWN ACTIONS
Be motivated by your ability to influence a person righteously, by embracing action, or no action. For example, if you have righteous influence over a person then take action. If you don’t and a person does not see you like you want them to, do not resort to trying to force it with negative emotion, or manipulation. Take no action and waste no more thought on it. once you are focused on your own action or no action you will soon realize that your power is not based on anyone elses action or no action. Focusing on your output or actions empowers you!
I speak from experience, nothing has empowered me more personally then “choosing” when to act or not act based on a righteous blueprint not from emotion or a desire to control another. Most times I choose no action. Being able to control or influence someone righteously shows strength. However, my focus has over the decades been about becoming powerful by controlling my output/actions and as a result many have imitated my example and have also become powerful people.
3.REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT
Now, once you see and learn the pattern you must then focus on repetition. The more moment by moment and daily repetitions you get the
more mastery you will gain over yourself and the more powerful you will become. Trying to control others will become less and less of a factor in how you operate. Your focus will instead be more on controlling yourself, and being righteous and wise in all situations regardless of what someone else thinks or does. After years and years of repetition of what I am telling you, you will see clearly the power of a life built on this biblical blueprint. You will have built a legacy of “moments of self control” or “moments of self mastery” that commands love, respect, or fear for the un-elevated .
Thanks for reading I write more about these concepts in my book Harness the Power Within and Without. It is my hope that I have inspired you today, until next time Godspeed in your quest for self mastery under the Kingdom of Heaven.
