AN EXPLANATION OF WHY I SAY “CODE’ OF THE FLEXING FIST, AND WHY I USE THE ATOM AS A SYMBOL
Why do I call it “CODE” of the Flexing Fist?
Well, simply because the
punches of Flex Fist Boxing move in
a straight and circular repeating
pattern like a code. Flex Fist
Boxing consists of five punches:
- Closing Fist
- Spinning Fist
- Hinge Fist
- Swivel Fist
- Hammer Fist
Below is an image of an atom. As you
can see the electrons are traveling in a
circular pattern around the nucleus.
You can think of the nucleus as the face
of your opponent. The only minor
difference would be center punches like
the Spinning Fist and Closing Fist
which would come straight down the
middle of the image. This is why in
the Flex Fist Boxing logo you see a fist at
the center of the image. As you can
see the electrons “stay in their lanes”
around the nucleus. In Flex Fist Boxing
as well as Conventional Boxing each
punch has a lane.
When you look at the Flex Fist Boxing
logo you see letters C, S, H, H, and S
this also lends itself to the idea of a
“CODE” once again the 5 punches are:
- Closing Fist
- Spinning Fist
- Hinge Fist
- Swivel Fist
- Hammer Fist
As stated before these punches move in
circular repeating patterns. Now, If
I am using electrons as a metaphor for
punches, then how electrons actually
move should be made clear. It has
been revealed that electrons actually
disappear and reappear on their way
around the nucleus. So, I teach my
students to imagine their fists as
electrons disappearing and reappearing to
and from the face and head of their
opponent. One of the ways such an
action can be achieved is by flexing
on the way out and flexing on the way
back in. Flexing creates the necessary
explosion needed for firing out and
back in. Thus mimicking the disappearing
and reappearing effect. Now this
may be hard to fully visualize however,
it is completely possible and my
students train hard at mastering
these concepts. I hope you enjoyed this
brief explanation of another side of my
Flex Fist Boxing concepts. Thanks
